Peripheral Drive Clarifier Scraper For Large Municipal Wastewater Treatment Settling Tanks

Bridge-type sludge scraper and suction machines feature a bridge-like structure spanning the sedimentation tank. The scraper at the bottom moves along the tank bottom to push sludge to the central suction area, while the suction pump extracts sludge. They are suitable for large rectangular or circular sedimentation tanks with large treatment capacities, common in municipal sewage plants.

The peripheral driving is adopted for this equipment. The sewage flows in the tank from the water inlet pipe at the tank center and it flows out to the tank periphery uniformly in radial state after it is dispersed by steady flow cylinder. The sludge in suspended state is scraping at the tank bottom after settling. The drive unit drives the working bridge to rotate along the tank periphery and drives the scraping arm and sludge scraping plate to rotate simultaneously. The sludge is suctioned into the sludge cylinder after it is scraped and collected by sludge scraping plate. Afterwards, the sludge is discharged from the pool through the central sludge discharge pipe of the pool. The scum above the water surface is skimmed to the edge of the pool by a rotating slag skimmer, and then scraped out by the slag removal bucket.
